Friends of Sherwood Library Bookstore to have sale on kids' books

The bookstore will hold its monthly Saturday sale, March 2, from 10 AM – 4 PM. The store will also be open regular hours on Wednesday, 1-4 PM, and Sunday, 1-3 PM. Items from the ongoing booksale in the first floor hallway and the second floor open lobby are available for purchase whenever the library is open. The library is located at 2501 Sherwood Hall Lane, Alexandria, 22306.

This Saturday and Sunday look for specials in our children’s and special price room, and scattered around the second floor. ALL children’s and young adult books will be half price. Children’s and YA books without a sticker price will be 2 for 25 cents. Half-off pricing on “red slash” special price items will also be offered during this Saturday sale, as well as per usual during the regular Sunday sale.

We have moved the fiction by African-American authors from the cart in the sales room to the bookcase near the classics section. In the sales room we have re-organized the shelves to make various categories more visible.

This week on the special price table we have a delicious variety of cookbooks.

Did you know our inventory is donated by members of the community? Our bookstore and support of the library depend on your generosity. We are in special need of large print book donations. The bookstore always appreciates donations in all categories, both fiction and nonfiction, in resalable condition. Please, no magazines or encyclopedias. Receipts are available for tax purposes.
