Friends of Sherwood Library Bookstore hours this week

This week the Friends of Sherwood Library bookstore is open on Wednesday from 1 – 4 PM and Sunday, 1 – 3 PM. The library is located at 2501 Sherwood Hall Lane, Alexandria, 22306.

Exciting new donations this week focus on a wide assortment of science and math offerings, both textbooks and reference works (for example, pictographic reports and atlases of National Science Foundation expeditions). These items have been placed on a separate cart in the sale room for browsing ease. In addition, new donations in our children’s and young adult room include like-new volumes: 1-10 in the “Wings of Fire” series, volumes 1-3 in the “Summoner” series, and assorted “Harry Potter” hardcover volumes. New donations of history and biography books are again in place in the main sale room.

Our featured category through January is “Women’s Studies: Historical and Contemporary.” Look for these books in the sales room on the bookcase near the door.

The bookstore always appreciates donations in all categories, both fiction and nonfiction, in resalable condition. Please, no magazines or encyclopedias. Receipts are available for tax purposes.
