Friends of Sherwood Library Bookstore hours this week
Features this week include mystery hardcover, audio books on CD, and newly donated DVDs
The Friends of Sherwood Library bookstore is open this week on Wednesday from 1 – 4 PM and Sunday, 1 – 3 PM. The library is located at 2501 Sherwood Hall Lane, Alexandria, 22306.
A generous donation of J.D. Robb and Janet Evanovich hardcover books have been added to our fiction shelves, along with new donations featuring many other popular mystery writers. Many more DVDs and CDs have been donated this past week, and are available for easy browsing on a separate cart.
For your summer travels, we still have a large assortment of audio books on CD. You’ll find many popular authors represented; for example, Grisham, Patterson, Kellerman, and Cornwell to name just a few.

We continue to offer old vinyl records at 50 cents each. Harry Potter books and movies remain popular, as do “Star Wars” selections and new entries in young adult series. The “coffee table books” area has many exciting additions in all genres. Every week we put out a new selection of recently donated history/biography books on a separate cart. This week that cart is especially full of attractive recent donations.
This is the last week that we are able to offer a like-new 54-volume set of Great Books for the reduced price of $10, and also the last chance to snap up a 31 volume Funk & Wagnall’s encyclopedia for $10.
