Friends of Sherwood Library Bookstore hours this week

The Friends of Sherwood Library bookstore is open this week on Wednesday from 1 – 4 PM and Sunday, 1 – 3 PM. The library is located at 2501 Sherwood Hall Lane, Alexandria, 22306.

Thanks to recent donations, we have added nine different versions of dictionaries to the shelves in our children’s room. We also have beautiful hardcover editions of Harry Potter books, the “Tales from Shakespeare” by Charles & Mary Lamb, a good selection of illustrated classics (including several Classic Comics), as well as gift-quality picture books and young adult series.

Recent donations of DVDs, audio books on CD, and history/biography books are all on separate carts or shelves for ease in browsing. Hardcover fiction shelves and carts, and paperback fiction, have all been freshened with new arrivals. And don’t forget to look at our travel section for guides and maps if you are planning summer get-aways.

The bookstore always appreciates donations in all categories, both fiction and nonfiction, in resalable condition. Please, no magazines or encyclopedias. Receipts are available for tax purposes.
