Friends of Sherwood Library Bookstore hours this week

The Friends of Sherwood Library bookstore is on Wednesday from 1 – 4 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. The library is located at 2501 Sherwood Hall Lane, Alexandria, 22306.

New additions to our “Special Price” table include a nice assortment of text books and test prep handbooks. In the children’s room we have wonderful hardcover volumes from the “Little House” series by Laura Ingalls Wilder; these are the re-issued 1953 printings, including the Garth Williams illustrations. Dust jackets are tattered but covers and text are nearly pristine. Also new to the children’s room are multiple older printings from the Grosset & Dunlap press in the Hardy Boys series.

With the end of summer in sight, don’t miss our selections of beach-worthy mass market paperbacks, romance, and mystery novels.

The bookstore always appreciates donations in all categories, both fiction and nonfiction, in resalable condition. Please, no magazines or encyclopedias. Receipts are available for tax purposes.
