Friends of Sherwood Library Bookstore hours this week

Bookstore looking for donations of kids' books for southern ministry

The bookstore will be open for regular sale hours this week on Wednesday, 1-4 PM and Sunday, 1-3 PM. The library is located at 2501 Sherwood Hall Lane, Alexandria, 22306.

This week’s Special Price books include many unusual offerings; for example, “The DC Comics Encyclopedia – updated,” “Secrets of the Still,” and “The Art of Making Fermented Sausages,” as well as some remaining Great Courses sets on CDs.

SPECIAL REQUEST: we are working with a youth ministry program for the rural South to provide books to young children 5 to 8 years old. Although we have many such books, this is a special appeal to those of you who might have some to donate. If you do, we would appreciate receiving them before the 24th. It is a great cause and you can be a part of it. Thank you to all who have already donated!

Thanks to a large number of recent DVD donations, we have added a cart of DVDs to the second floor lobby offerings, available for purchase whenever the library is open.

With fall travel on the horizon, be sure to browse our selection of travel guides, maps, and brochures, for both U.S. and global destinations.
