The bookstore will be open on Wednesday, 1-4 PM and on Sunday from 1-3 PM. Items from the ongoing booksale in the first floor hallway and the second floor open lobby are available for purchase whenever the library is open. The library is located at 2501 Sherwood Hall Lane, Alexandria, 22306.

We have placed two boxes of sheet and instructional manuals from the donated collection of Karen Heather Hunt onto the “coffee table books” table in the second floor lobby, and added a shelf of music-related texts to the music section in the sales room. Prices on the sheet music and manuals are all in the 25 to 50 cent range.

This week the special price table features a 3-CD plus text edition of “Living Language: French”; volumes 1 and 3 of beautifully bound “Japan in a Nutshell” guides; selected speeches of Benjamin Disraeli”; and numerous religious volumes and art-print books.

We’ve added a box of beginning-reader chapter books to the “quarter corner” in the upstairs open lobby. These include the complete set of “A to Z Mysteries,” and multiple volumes from the Candy Apple and Little Apple series. This area of the lobby also offers 2 boxes of vinyl records, one box of which has been recently donated.

Did you know our inventory is donated by members of the community? Our bookstore and support of the library depend on your generosity. The bookstore always appreciates donations in all categories, both fiction and nonfiction, in clean, resalable condition. Please, no magazines or encyclopedias. Receipts are available for tax purposes.
