RBG and James Herriot share the spotlight this week.

The bookstore will be open on Wednesday, 1-4 PM, and Sunday, 1-3 PM. Sherwood Regional Library is located at 2501 Sherwood Hall Lane, Alexandria, 22306.
New additions to the special price table include “Notorious RBG: the Life and Times of Ruth Bader Ginsburg” and a leather bound third edition of “Williamsburg in Virginia.” Also not to be missed is the pop-up book “James Herriot’s Yorkshire Village.”
In the children’s/special price room we have 2 separate shelves of (adult) graphic novels.

The bookstore is a great source for tour guides, state and country maps, city atlases, attraction brochures, and easy to use language guides and dictionaries. Check out the “coffee table books” section for pictorial collections that will whet your travel appetite.
The children’s/young adult section has books and games to help entertain K-12 ages during the long summer months, as well as activity books to keep skills sharp, coloring books for the very youngest readers, dystopian novels, and series books. Remember, every child or teen gets one free regular price book each time they visit the library. Be sure to visit the “Quarter Corner” in the second floor lobby.

Books for summer reading are available for every age and interest. If you usually browse only the first floor hallway, try to take time to visit to the bookstore’s main selections on the second floor.
Our bookstore and support of the library depend on donations by members of the community. The bookstore always appreciates donations in all categories, both fiction and nonfiction, in clean, resalable condition. Please, no magazines or encyclopedias. Receipts are available for tax purposes.
Items from the ongoing book sale in the first floor hallway and in the second floor open lobby are available for purchase whenever the library is open. Help us spread the word; please forward this message to your community and neighborhood email groups.
