Friends of Sherwood Library Bookstore offers bargains and like-new books

This week the Friends of Sherwood Library bookstore is open Wednesday from 1 – 4 PM, and Sunday from 1-3 PM. The library is located at 2501 Sherwood Hall Lane, Alexandria, 22306.

This week we’re featuring a small assortment of Halloween-theme children’s and sci-fi classics. We are also re-stocking the “coffee table books” with many beautiful new arrivals, and re-filling a cart full of books we have previously had special prices on. All these books will have a yellow slash on the sticker and will be half off.

PLEASE NOTE: On November 4 & 5 we will spotlight several special collections, including vintage/antiquarian/old books, and holiday craft, cooking, and fiction. Many of the holiday items are like-new children’s books. If you have any books that might fit into those categories please feel free to donate them now.

Did you know our inventory is donated by members of the community? We greatly appreciate donations of kids’ games and puzzles, good quality books and electronic media in resalable condition. We currently are in special need of audio books and CDs; please no magazines or encyclopedias. Receipts are available for tax purposes.
