Friends of Sherwood Library Bookstore open Saturday this week
Plan ahead for bookstore back to school sale
The Friends of Sherwood Library bookstore is holding its monthly “first Saturday” sale this week on August 4, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. The bookstore is also open regular hours on Wednesday from 1 – 4 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. The library is located at 2501 Sherwood Hall Lane, Alexandria, 22306.
On Saturday and Sunday only, thanks to recent generous donations, all adult hardcover fiction will be 2 for $1 (must buy 2 to get this special price).
New additions to our “Special Price” table include a massive “how to cook everything vegetarian” cookbook, the Roy Jenkins biography of Gladstone (winner of the Whitbread Prize in biography), and several gift-quality make-your-own journals and scrapbooks for new mothers. And in the kids’ room, we’ve added more beautiful picture books as well as volumes 1 – 7 in the Lemony Snicket series.
