The bookstore will be open regular hours on Wednesday, 1-4 PM, and Sunday, 1-3 PM. Items from the ongoing booksale in the first floor hallway and the second floor open lobby are available for purchase whenever the library is open. The library is located at 2501 Sherwood Hall Lane, Alexandria, 22306.

New additions to our Special Price table this week include the complete 9 volume set of Sherlock Holmes stories, the “Chocolate Lover’s Handbook” with 40 death-defying recipes, and, in the vintage books rack, 8 volumes of Will and Ariel Durant’s 11 volume world history.

Welcome spring with our selection of gardening and outdoor project books displayed on the table with coffee table books. After this week, all home and garden books will move back inside the sales room.

Have you discovered the “quarter corner” in the upstairs open lobby? This corner near the tech lab has boxes of children’s and young adult books for 25 cents each, and remember, every child and teen gets one of these books free each time they visit the library.

Did you know our inventory is donated by members of the community? Our bookstore and support of the library depend on your generosity. The bookstore always appreciates donations in all categories, both fiction and nonfiction, in resalable condition. Please, no magazines or encyclopedias. Receipts are available for tax purposes.
