Friends of Sherwood Library Bookstore weekly specials

The bookstore will hold regular sale hours on Wednesday, 1-4 PM, and Sunday, 1-3 PM. The library is located at 2501 Sherwood Hall Lane, Alexandria, 22306.

Going on vacation? Now is the perfect time to stock up for leisurely summertime reading. We continually update our shelves with popular fiction in all genres and formats – mystery, romance, thrillers, Westerns, and best sellers, as well as history, science, biography, etc.

Traveling out of the country this summer? Browse our selection of travel guides, maps, brochures, and foreign language dictionaries and phrase books.

We have audio books, DVDs, and CDs, as well as jigsaw puzzles and games. Summer could be the perfect time to re-read your favorite classics. How long has it been since you’ve read “Jane Eyre” or “Walden”? We have a separate section devoted to classical fiction and non-fiction.

Recent donations include dozens of James Patterson hardcover thrillers, paperback Star Wars novels, and beautiful vintage vinyl records. We have a super selection of gardening, music, and children’s items.

The bookstore is currently in need of paperback mysteries. Our bookstore and support of the library depend on donations by members of the community. The bookstore always appreciates donations in all categories, both fiction and nonfiction, in clean, resalable condition. Please, no magazines or encyclopedias. Receipts are available for tax purposes.

Items from the ongoing book sale in the first floor hallway and in the second floor open lobby are available for purchase whenever the library is open.
