Friends of Sherwood Library Bookstore weekly specials

The bookstore will hold regular sale hours on Wednesday, 1-4 PM, and Sunday, 1-3 PM. The library is located at 2501 Sherwood Hall Lane, Alexandria, 22306.

Our special price table this week includes many new offerings, including “Art Treasures of Croatia”; boxed sets of John Green and Jan Karon novels; a 3-volume collector's boxed set of E. Nesbit stories; and the first 10 volumes of the Nancy Drew mysteries in a boxed set.

Going to the beach? Here’s a “novel” idea. Browse the bookstore’s selection of paperback mysteries, Westerns, and other mass market books. They are perfect to tuck into a tote bag and at only 25 cents each, you won’t mind if one gets water-logged.

For travel time, we have DVDs and CDs especially for the young, for example “Cars”, “Charlotte’s Web”, and the “Spiderwick Chronicles” as well as jigsaw puzzles and games. In addition, browse our collection of audio books, DVDs, and CDs for grown-ups.

We continually update our excellent selection of gardening, music, and children’s items. Recent donations include CDs, DVDs, dozens of James Patterson hardcover thrillers, and beautiful vintage vinyl records.

The bookstore is currently in need of paperback mysteries. Our bookstore and support of the library depend on donations by members of the community. The bookstore always appreciates donations in all categories, both fiction and nonfiction, in clean, resalable condition. Please, no magazines or encyclopedias. Receipts are available for tax purposes.

Items from the ongoing book sale in the first floor hallway and in the second floor open lobby are available for purchase whenever the library is open.
