Help Stop Domestic Violence in the DC Metro Area
Reception with live music, food, and silent auction to benefit women and children who have suffered domestic violence.
Domestic Violence is an epidemic in our community. Statistics show that every day in the United States, 3 women are killed and every 12 days a child dies from domestic abuse. Every 3 hours a family enters a domestic violence shelter. You can help save the lives of victims of abuse.
Bethany House of Northern Virginia (BHNV) invites you to our 4th annual Garden Of Light Reception that will be held on Saturday, May 2nd, 2015 at Immanuel Bible Church, Springfield, Virginia from 3:00-6:00 PM. This event will feature live music, refreshments, and a silent auction with many one-of-a-kind packages donated by area businesses.
BHNV has provided safe, confidential shelters and support services to families and individuals for the past 35 years. Our mission is to help women and their children who have suffered from domestic violence regain health and dignity and become re-established in our community by providing temporary housing and support.
Only a portion of our annual revenue comes from public sources. The rest depends on caring businesses and individuals like you. Funding raised during this event will support the Family Assistance Program. Tickets for $55.00 can be purchased at http://tinyurl.com/2015GardenofLight
