Internet Meeting Turns Into In-Person Robbery

Fairfax County Police say that an online meeting where two people decided to meet for the purchase of an electronic device turned into a robbery Thursday night.

The robbery took place in the 3700 block of Shannons Green Way (see map below) off of Richmond Highway, according to police. The incident took place at about 8:06 p.m.

The victim met the suspect via an Internet website and agreed to meet the suspect for the sale of the electronic device, police said. The suspect took the device by force and fled, police said.

The victim did not require medical attention.

The suspect was described as black and wearing all-white clothing, according to police.
