Mount Vernon Gymnastics took fifth place at the National District Gymnastics Meet at Mount Vernon High School on Feb. 7 but failed to advance to the Northern Region Competition. Washington-Lee placed first, Edison second, Falls Church third, Yorktown fourth, and Wakefield sixth. The Top 2 teams from each District go to Regionals which are scheduled to be held at Lake Braddock Secondary School on Feb. 10.
