The New York Public Library recently ”kicked things up a notch” with expanded access to more than 180,000 out-of-copyright items in their NYPL Digital Collections, releasing high-resolution assets, data, and more.

Among the items is this photo issued in 1903, captioned “Tomb of America’s greatest citizen, Washington, at Mount Vernon.”
The photo is one of two, offering a 3-D view from the Robert N. Dennis Collection of Stereoscopic Views, published by Underwood & Underwood.
