A Musical Celebration of Independence Day with George Washington's Bible on Display

Saturday, July 4, at 11:00 a.m. — A Musical Celebration of Independence Day with George Washington’s Bible on Display. A special service will be offered in celebration of American Independence will feature patriotic songs, hymns, and readings that feature our diverse and rich American heritage. George Washington’s Bible will be available to view after the service. George Washington first visited Christ Church July 4, 1793. He had served on the vestry at Fairfax Parish in 1765 prior to Christ Church being built. One of George Washington’s Bibles was presented to Christ Church by George Washington Parke Custis April 12, 1804. Christ Church, 118 N.
