MVHS Alum Ed Cunningham Wins Oscar

1987 grad wins Oscar for "Undefeated."

Mount Vernon High School alum Ed Cunningham took home an Academy Award for Best Documentary on Sunday night.

Cunningham produced Undefeated, a documentary following the Manassas High School football team on their quest for a winning season in Memphis. Undefeated is the fourth documentary Cunningham has produced; his credits include New York Doll, King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters, and Make Believe.

Cunningham is a 1987 Mount Vernon High School grad who played for five seasons with the Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals in the 90's. He can be seen on ESPN as a college football analyst.
