Police Blotter: March 3, 2011

Last week, Fairfax County police officers from the Mount Vernon district substation responded to 28 reported incidents in our community. This week, there were six reported larcenies in our area and seven reported noise violations, which we have not listed.  

Here's the detailed timeline of last week's police activity. Keep in mind that these are reported incidents. A crime did not necessarily occur:

• February 24: Mount Vernon police responded to a reported larceny in the 8200 block of Russell Road. (10:05 a.m.)
• February 25: Mount Vernon police responded to a reported stolen vehicle at the intersection of Justin Road and Drews Court. (3:12 a.m.)
• February 25: Mount Vernon police responded to a reported burglary in the 7900 block of Flamingo Drive. (1:59 p.m.)
• February 25: Mount Vernon police responded to a reported larceny in the 8000 block of Buckman Court. (4:12 p.m.)
• February 25: Mount Vernon police responded to a reported assault in the 3800 block of Laramie Place. (6:45 p.m.)
• February 26: Mount Vernon police responded to a reported robbery in the 8000 block of Richmond Highway. (8:19 a.m.)
• February 26: Mount Vernon police responded to a reported stolen vehicle in the 5400 block of Claymont Drive. (11:46 a.m.)
• February 26: Mount Vernon police responded to a reported drug offense in the 8000 block of Russell Road. (11:36 p.m.)
• February 27: Mount Vernon police responded to a reported assault at the intersection of Sacramento Drive and Richmond Highway. (12:18 p.m.)
• February 27: Mount Vernon police responded to a report of destruction in the 5100 block of James Franklin Court. (12:39 p.m.)
• February 27: Mount Vernon police responded to a reported assault in the 8400 block of Frye Road. (7:34 p.m.)
• February 27: Mount Vernon police responded to a reported larceny in the 8200 block of Russell Road.
• February 28: Mount Vernon police responded to a report of destruction in the 5700 block of Village Green Drive. (2:33 p.m.)
• February 28: Mount Vernon police responded to a reported assault in the 4200 block of Buckman Road. (4:40 p.m.)
• February 28: Mount Vernon police responded to a reported larceny in the 4400 block of Pembrook Village Drive. (10:42 p.m.)
• March 1: Mount Vernon police resonded to a reported larceny in the 8500 block of Old Mount Vernon Road. (7:25 a.m.)
• March 1: Mount Vernon police responded to a reported assault in the 3400 block of Buckman Road. (9:16 a.m.)
