Police: Man Assaulted, Robbed Friday Night in Mount Vernon

Fairfax County Police say that a man is in the hospital after being assaulted by a group of six men Friday night in Mount Vernon.

The incident took place in the 8000 block of Capistrano Place Friday at 8:15 p.m. The victim was walking when six men approached him. One suspect assaulted the victim and another suspect took an electronic device.

The victim resisted and all six suspects fled on foot. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The suspects were described as black males and about 18 to 20 years of age.
