Police: Mount Vernon Man Arrested for Wounding Acquaintance

Police have arrested a Mount Vernon man for maliciously wounding an acquaintance.

Raymond A. H. Tillman, of 3808 El Camino Place, was charged with malicious wounding for cutting a 19-year-old woman during an argument on August 4 in the 2700 block of Mennifield Court. The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are looking for a male suspect who attempted to rob a 50-year-old woman at knifepoint in the 8400 block of Richmond Highway around 10:30 p.m. on August 8. The suspect was described as Hispanic, around 5 feet 8 inches tall, between 185 and 200 pounds, and he was wearing a black T-shirt and black jeans. His face was covered. The suspect fled without taking anything and the victim was not injured.

8100 block of Richmond Highway - rings stolen from residence

8200 block of Richmond Highway - groceries stolen from business
