Rescue On the Occoquan
Three were rescued when their boat capsized on the Occoquan River
A day of boating on the Occoquan River took a dramatic turn for three boaters whose boat capsized this afternoon.
Fairfax County Fire and Rescue received a call from a witness on shore around noon, who reported seeing the boat turned over and three people on top of the boat. A Fairfax County Fire and Rescue boat was sent to the scene, with boats from Prince William County and Charles County rescue squads assisting. All three on board were rescued with no injuries and were brought to the Fairfax Yacht Club nearby.
Though an incident such as this would shake up most people, the three boaters were calm and collected.
