'Rock 'n Blades' Set for Friday at Ice Arena

On Friday, Nov. 7, Rock N’ Blades will turn Mount Vernon RECenter’s ice arena into a cool nightclub, with pulsing strobe lights and popular music blaring from the speakers, according to a news release from the county. Here’s more about this fun event, from the release:

There’s no need for ear buds at this festive annual event. Ice skaters are invited to glide and groove to their favorite songs from 8:45 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. Admission is $12 per person and includes skate rental. Skate sizes are limited and will be offered first come, first served. Doors open at 8:15 p.m.

Mount Vernon RECenter’s ice arena is Fairfax County’s only publicly owned indoor ice arena. Open year round, the ice arena features an official NHL size ice rink and includes a warming room, coaches room, skate rental area, skate sharpening services, and hockey team locker rooms.
