Sherwood Library Friends Bookstore also open Saturday this week
Friends library bookstore has bargains in all categories, including new offerings of 25 cent kids' books in great shape.
This week the Friends of Sherwood Library bookstore is open on Saturday, 10 AM – 4 PM, as well as regular hours on Wednesday from 1 – 4 PM and Sunday, 1 – 3 PM. The library is located at 2501 Sherwood Hall Lane, Alexandria, 22306.
This week we have received extensive donations of cookbooks, many of which are on the cart in the second floor lobby. Also in the upstairs lobby is a new table full of kids’ and young adult books, most for 25 cents each.
Our featured category through January is “Women’s Studies: Historical and Contemporary.” Look for these books in the sales room on the bookcase near the door.

Due to popular demand, the bookstore selection of classics is becoming somewhat sparse. Donations of these bestsellers from the past will be most welcome. The bookstore always appreciates donations in all categories, both fiction and nonfiction, including vinyl and other electronic media, in resalable condition. Please, no magazines or encyclopedias. Receipts are available for tax purposes.
