Sherwood Library Friends' bookstore open Saturday this week

This week the Friends of Sherwood Library bookstore is open on Saturday, February 3, from 10 AM – 4 PM, as well as regular sale hours on Wednesday from 1 – 4 PM and Sunday, 1 – 3 PM. The library is located at 2501 Sherwood Hall Lane, Alexandria, 22306.

BIG NEWS: During the Saturday sale only, all items with special price stickers will be half off, even including kids’ special price books and books in our vintage collection.

New additions this week include several multi-volume editions of Harvard Classics; 24 volumes in the Time-Life “Seafarers” series; and a massive restocking of both hardcover and paperback fiction. And since everyone can use a little more laughter, our humor section has been updated with Monty Python works and “Far Side” cartoon collections.

In February we’re spotlighting one of our lesser-known collections: “Photography: how-to tips, and beautiful results.” Look for these books in the sales room on the bookcase near the door.

The bookstore always appreciates donations in all categories, both fiction and nonfiction, in resalable condition. Please, no magazines or encyclopedias. Receipts are available for tax purposes.
