Sherwood Library and Friends Bookstore Reopen

October 15, Come in and enjoy the "Refreshed Facility"

Sherwood Regional Library and the Friends of Sherwood Library Bookstore are open once again! Come in and enjoy the refreshed facility.

The Bookstore will be open as usual on Wednesday, October 16, from 1-4 PM and Sunday, October 20, from 1-3 PM. Sherwood Regional Library is located at 2501 Sherwood Hall Lane, Alexandria, 22306.

We have added many gems to the special price table this week, including: “Aloha Cuisine” by Chef Sam Choy; the hardcover graphic novel “Signal Noise” by Neil Gaiman and Dave McKean; Jeffrey Allen’s “Secrets of Singing/ Female" (Low and High Voice); vintage photos of Danzig, Germany; the 4th edition “New Oxford Annotated Bible” revised; and the always popular textbook “Parasites of Fishes in Wyoming.”

Please note: the library’s elevator to the second floor is out of order and is likely to remain so indefinitely. Volunteers are able to assist with large volume purchases.

Our bookstore and support of the library depend on donations by members of the community. The bookstore always appreciates donations in all categories, both fiction and nonfiction, but

PLEASE, in clean, resalable condition, and again, no magazines or encyclopedias. Receipts are available for tax purposes.

For large-volume donations (for example, multiple boxes or hundreds of items) please call the bookstore in advance to facilitate staff coordination: 703-718-8206.

Items from the ongoing book sale in the first floor hallway and in the second floor open lobby are available for purchase whenever the library is open.
