Sherwood Library bookstore open Saturday, August 6th, 10 AM-4 PM

The Friends of Sherwood Library bookstore will be open for our first Saturday of the month sale on August 6th, 10 AM-4 PM. The library is located at 2501 Sherwood Hall Lane, Alexandria, VA 22306.

Kids still bored? There's still time to register for the summer reading challenge! Registration is available online or at any library branch, and a suggested reading/authors list is available but not required. We have many books from the suggested reading list available. The challenge runs until September 3rd, and each participant will receive a coupon book full of free and discounted prizes upon completion. The adult reading challenge is underway as well, with a chance to win gift cards and a Kindle Fire!

We have recently received lots of new science fiction that we are offering at two for the price of one. In addition, we have puzzles, games, crossword books and more. We've also opened a new section with holiday themed books and other media.

Are you, or do you know, a Louis L'Amour aficionado? We have a collection of over 120 books printed various years in the 1980's. The set includes novels, short stories, two non-fiction, and one book of photographs. All volumes have simulated leather covers and gilt-edged pages, and are in excellent condition.

We offer a free regular priced book to kids and seniors, and also a free gift with purchase.

Donations are always accepted and greatly appreciated. Please, no magazines or encyclopedias. Receipts available for tax purposes.
