Shooting, Stabbing Suspect At Large In Mount Vernon
The suspect fled from the scene after a person was shot and another stabbed in Mount Vernon Tuesday night.

MOUNT VERNON, VA—A suspect is on the loose after a shooting and stabbing in Mount Vernon Tuesday night, police say.
Police responded to 3500 block of Buckman Road around 10 p.m. for a report of one person stabbed. When they arrived, police learned another man had been shot at a nearby apartment. The shooting victim was taken to the hospital. The stabbing victim initially refused medical care but was taken to the hospital later and released. The two victims did not have life-threatening injuries, according to police.
A search is on for the suspect, who fled from the scene. Police are working to identify people with more information. No suspect description was released.
