PAWFEST, a family-friendly event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 18 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. and 2 to 4 p.m. at Spring Hills Mount Vernon Assisted Living. Located at 3709 Shannons Green Way in Alexandria, Virginia, PAWFEST is a celebration for pets and their owners. Neighbors are welcome to participate and join in the festivities that include a K-9 demonstration from the Alexandria police in the morning and pet care information and pet therapy with Daisy in the afternoon. Donations of dog food would be appreciated and will be given to local animal shelters.
