Stratford Landing Elementary Raises Money for School Needs

Stratford Landing Elementary’ PTA hosted the third annual Rock ‘n Run on Friday, October 23. More than 1,000 students, teachers and parents participated in the event which raised more than $73,000 for the school. “Our event is run entirely by volunteers and 100% goes back to the school to make technology purchases, for staff development, books, instruments, field trips and classroom needs. With county budget cuts, we depend more and more on pulling the community together to support our school and thanks to our sponsors, all Rock ’n Run expenses are paid for,” said Sara Jefferies, Rock ‘n Run Chair.
