VOTE NO for the Meals TAX on November 8th, 2016

Food, Meals, Fast-Food, Tax, Fairfax, Vote,

ATTENTION: Anyone who likes to eat at breakfast, lunch or dinner in Mount Vernon or Fairfax County.

This is the quote taken from the Fairfax County pamphlet encouraging people to vote for the Meals TAX: Why would anyone VOTE against their own pocketbook?

"Based on information from the Virginia Tourism Corporation, it is estimated that approximately 28 % of meal expenditures in Fairfax County are generated by non-county residents."

BIG DEAL: that means 72% of MEALS are taxing FFX Residents.. and as always the hits the LOWEST income residents in the County!

Trade workers, students, office workers, or just retired folks who feel like eating lunch out will continue to eat at fast food places, such as 7-11, McDonald's, KFC, all restaurants and even Food Trucks!

Why in the world would we want to ADD 10% to already TAXED food? This would NEGATIVELY impact Small businesses and all Restaurants which serve cooked or prepared FOOD. ALL Pre-pared food will be taxed separately! ALL! Even Food Trucks!

This is not an investment for Fairfax. This is BAD for people and local Restaurant and business. It is that simple. This tax hurts the people who least can afford yet another tax!
