This week at Friends of Sherwood Library Bookstore

The Sherwood Regional Library bookstore will be open this Wednesday from 1 – 4 PM, and Sunday, January 12, from 1-3 PM. Sherwood Regional Library is located at 2501 Sherwood Hall Lane, Alexandria, 22306.

As always our special price table contains quality books at very reasonable prices. This week we feature “Grant” by Pulitzer prize-winning author Ron Chernow; the children’s book “Bardolph Bedivere Wolf Returns” signed by the author with a hand drawn illustrated signature by the illustrator; the complete “Milk Street” TV show cookbook; and “The Civil War, a Narrative” by Shelby Foote.

In the second floor open lobby we are offering a new selection of paperback romance novels at the bargain price of 10 cents each. Look for these on the table near the elevator. Now is the time to stock up for winter reading! Also in the second floor lobby is a cart full of children’s picture books at very special prices; this means you no longer will need to wait for bookstore open hours in order to browse quality children’s books.

Our bookstore and support of the library depend on donations by members of the community. The bookstore always appreciates donations in all categories, both fiction and nonfiction. PLEASE ensure that they are in clean, resalable condition. We cannot accept magazines or encyclopedias. Receipts are available for tax purposes.

Items from the ongoing book sale in the first floor hallway and in the second floor open lobby are available for purchase whenever the library is open.
