This week at Friends of Sherwood Library Bookstore

The Sherwood Regional Library bookstore will be open as usual on Wednesday from 1 – 4 PM, Saturday from 1 – 4 PM, and Sunday, March 1, from 1- 3 PM. Sherwood Regional Library is located at 2501 Sherwood Hall Lane, Alexandria, 22306.

SPECIAL SALE! This week during the Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday bookstore hours, all regular price hardcover adult fiction will be $5 per bagful. We will supply the bags. This is a great chance to stock up for vacation or summer reading. Not included in the sale are specially priced fiction and children’s and young adult books.

This week new additions to the special price table include “Brotherhood of the Bomb” inscribed by author Gregg Herken; the 4 volume hardcover boxed set of “The 50 Best Plays of the American Theatre”; the best-selling 2019 novel “The Lager Queen of Minnesota” by J. Ryan Stradal; and “Memoirs of the War of Secession” from manuscripts of Johnson Hagood.

Planning ahead for spring break? Visit our travel section first. We have travel guidebooks and maps for all the states, North and South America, Europe, etc. Staying in the area? We have wonderful guides to the D.C. area, including “The Everything Family Guide to Washington, D.C.”

Even when the bookstore itself is closed, items from the ongoing book sale in the first floor hallway and in the second floor open lobby are available for purchase whenever the library is open. Our bookstore and support of the library depend on donations by members of the community. The bookstore always appreciates donations in all categories, both fiction and nonfiction. PLEASE ensure that they are in clean, resalable condition. We cannot accept magazines or encyclopedias. Receipts are available for tax purposes.
