The Friends of Sherwood Regional Library bookstore will have its monthly “First Saturday” sale this week, on March 7. The bookstore will also be open as usual on Wednesday from 1 – 4 PM and Sunday, March 8, from 1- 3 PM. Sherwood Regional Library is located at 2501 Sherwood Hall Lane, Alexandria, 22306.

SPECIAL FOR SATURDAY AND SUNDAY SALES! The bookstore’s bag sale last week was so popular that we are re-running it this week during the Saturday and Sunday bookstore hours. All regular price hardcover adult fiction will be $5 per bagful, and this weekend due to popular demand, trade paperback fiction will also be bag-eligible! We will supply the bags. Customers tell us they are stocking up for vacation and summer time reading. Not included in the sale are specially priced fiction and children’s and young adult books.

This week new additions to the special price table include 5 of the Audubon Society Field Guides, each individually priced (North American Wildflowers; Birds; Seashore Creatures; Mammals; Mushrooms); a boxed hardcover set of volumes 1, 2, and 3 in the Ever After High “Storybox of Legends” series; and “Moltke and the German Wars, 1864-1871” by Arden Bucholz.

Even when the bookstore itself is closed, items from the ongoing book sale in the first floor hallway and in the second floor open lobby are available for purchase whenever the library is open. Our bookstore and support of the library depend on donations by members of the community. The bookstore always appreciates donations in all categories, both fiction and nonfiction. PLEASE ensure that they are in clean, resalable condition. We cannot accept magazines or encyclopedias. Receipts are available for tax purposes.
