Leadership of Newport Post Acute and Virginia Health Services (VHS) recently paid a visit to Newport News Fire Department Station 10 to honor its members for their service. Fire Chief Wesley Rogers accepted an appreciation plaque from the skilled nursing center on behalf of the station.

“We truly appreciate Newport News Fire Department; Station 10 and all of the other stations in the city are always so responsive and supportive of us,” said Newport Post Acute’s Mackenzie Mason, administrator. “These heroic first responders take great care of our team, our residents and the entire community. Today was just a small token of our gratitude for all they do.”

Located at 11141 Warwick Blvd. in Newport News, Newport Post Acute is part of the VHS portfolio, which also includes six additional skilled nursing facilities, three assisted living and senior living communities, and ancillary companies in the senior care arena. VHS has been a senior healthcare staple in southeastern Virginia since 1963.
