Reston Murder Suspect's Mom Says She Missed Warning Signs: Report

A 17-year-old boy accused of killing the parents of his ex-girlfriend in December has been branded a neo-Nazi and white supremacist. But his mother told the Washington Post that the teen has struggled for years with mental health issues, and that she blames herself for failing to prevent the shootings of Scott Fricker, 48, and Buckley Kuhn-Fricker, 43, in their Reston home.

Man Shipped Explosive Powder To Dozens Of DC Area Places: FBI

A man has been charged in federal court for shipping explosive materials to least 10 government and military locations in the DC area. Thanh Cong Phan, 43, of Everett, Wash. was arrested Monday after the first packages had been found at mail screening locations. None of the packages exploded or caused injuries, according to the FBI's Washington Field Office.

Virginia Tech Athletes Apologize For Rapping Racial Slur In Video

A Snapchat video of the Virginia Tech women's lacrosse team rapping a racial slur in a song has sparked a debate about whether or not it was racist. The video had been posted after the team's Saturday victory over Elon. In the video, white team member were seen rapping the lyrics to "Freaky Friday" by Lil Dicky, repeating the n-word numerous times.

Bowling Alley Mob Attack: 5 Busted, 1 Sought In Woodbridge: Cops

Two more people have been arrested in connection with a March 20 mob attack in AMF Bowling at 4301 Dale Boulevard, according to Prince William County Police. The victim, a 25-year-old man, was approached by several acquaintances in a men's restroom and beaten and robbed when he refused their demands for money. One of the six original suspects remains at large.
