Passover and Easter: A Wine List
Oakton Wine Shop's Bryan Gauthier offers wine suggestions for the holidays
It is nice to have good wines finally available for Passover. After so many years of having very sweet and fruity wines, wine lovers can rejoice knowing that there are other options to have for Passover. Here are a few of our favorites:
Passover: (all kosher wines)
- Bartenura Moscato: Crisp slightly sweet and refreshing
- Bartenura Pinot Grigio: Crisp with a nice bit of tropical fruit flavors
- Teal Lake Chardonnay: Medium-bodied with a nice touch of oak and apple flavors with a nice touch of acidity on the finish
- Yarden Chardonnay: Rich oak and buttery cream flavors with a nice balance of fruit and acidity
- Teal Lake Shiraz: Opulent and vibrant purple in color this wine has a nice spicy fruit flavor that pairs well with many different foods
- Yarden Cabernet: Big and full-bodied luscious Cabernet that has all the characteristics you are looking for in a good Cab.
For most, Easter dinner will feature either ham or lamb for dinner, two foods for which you want something more on the mild side. Here are a few suggestions:
