1. NRCC to hold 2026 Veterans Day Ceremony (nrvnews.com) — Dublin residents can honor veterans at New River Community College’s free ceremony November 11 at 11 a.m. in Edwards Hall, Room 117. Retired Air Force Col. Richard S. “Rock” Roszak will deliver the keynote, with music from Radford High School’s concert choir and a reception afterward.
   

2. Robert Eugene Brickey (pcpatriot.com) — Robert Eugene Brickey, a Navy veteran from Dublin, died October 13 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital at age 95. His family plans burial at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin, with no public services at his request. Survivors include his son Robin, grandson Wesley and two great-grandchildren.
   

3. Meredith, Robert (nrvnews.com) — Robert “Bob” Meredith of Dublin died at home November 3 at age 85, after a working life that included 38 years at Radford Army Ammunition Plant. Visitation begins Monday at 4 p.m. at New Hope Church of God in Christiansburg, followed by a 6 p.m. funeral. Burial is Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Dublin Town Cemetery.
   

4. Public Service Announcements (pcpatriot.com) — Dublin residents have recurring opportunities to reconnect with classmates and get food assistance. Dublin High School alumni and friends gather for breakfast at the Dublin Lions Club each first Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. Heritage Cares Food Pantry distributes food Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. north of Dublin on Route 100.
   

5. Cheapest diesel gas in cities across Pulaski County in week ending Oct. 31 (newrivervalleytimes.com) — Pulaski County’s reported diesel prices averaged $6.03 a gallon for the week ending October 31, below Virginia’s $6.24 average, according to GasBuddy customer submissions. The report includes Dublin in its community comparison and puts the county’s lowest price at $5.69. These are historical cash prices, not guaranteed current pump prices.
