• Gunman in I-95 shootout sentenced to 178 years for abduction, murder (tncontentexchange.com) — A man has been sentenced to 178 years in prison after a 2023 I-95 kidnapping and shootout that ended near the Quantico exit in Prince William County. Jurors found he murdered the abducted woman during a gun battle with Virginia State Police, who had pursued his Jeep from Fairfax County. Prosecutors say the lengthy sentence reflects the crime's severity and the risks troopers took to stop the chase.
