The City of Roanoke invites applications for candidates to fill the vacancy on City Council created by a recent resignation.

The City of Roanoke invites applications for candidates to fill the vacancy on City Council created by the recent resignation of Council Member Djuna L. Osborne. Interested individuals must submit a Statement of Interest to the City Clerk in writing via email at clerk@roanokeva.gov or at the City Clerk’s Office, located at 215 Church Avenue, SW, Room 456, no later than 4 p.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2020.

The Statement of Interest must include the applicant’s full name, physical place of residence within the City of Roanoke, and the identity of the voter precinct within the City of Roanoke at which the applicant votes. The statement of interest shall also provide that the applicant agrees to be interviewed before City Council on October 5, 2020, if so selected for an interview. Applicants may submit additional information with the Statement of Interest.
