City Of Roanoke Alters Solid Waste Collection Schedule For Christmas, New Year’s

City offices will be closed for the Christmas holiday on Wednesday, Dec. 25, and for the New Year’s holiday on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2020. As a result, the following schedules will be in effect for Solid Waste Collection during those weeks:

Christmas Week

Monday and Tuesday trash, "A week" recycling, bulk, and brush collection will be collected on the regular schedule. However, Wednesday and Thursday trash, "A week" recycling, bulk, and brush collection will be collected one day later than normal.

There will be no collection in the Central Business District on Wednesday, December 25; otherwise, CBD will be on normal schedule.

New Year's Week

Monday and Tuesday trash, "B week" recycling, bulk, and brush collection will be collected on the regular schedule. However, Wednesday and Thursday trash, "B week" recycling, bulk, and brush collection will be collected one day later than normal.
