• Dr. Joe Foley sworn in to fill vacant Salem City Council seat (wdbj7.com) — Salem residents have a new interim voice on City Council, as longtime chiropractor Dr. Joe Foley has been sworn in to fill the seat left vacant by the late John Saunders. Foley will serve until a special election next year and says he'll focus on listening to neighbors and tackling the city's most pressing needs, but will not run for the seat himself.
