While the George Mason Regional Library closes for renovations October 23, rest assured the George Mason (GM) Friends will still be hard at work raising funds for Fairfax County library activities! The Friends will resume accepting your book, CD and DVD donations at a new location beginning Monday, October 19th. You are invited to join the Friends at a Ribbon Cutting ceremony on the 19th at 11:00 a.m. to unveil their new book donation bin located on the southwest side of the United Baptist Church, 7100 Columbia Pike in Annandale. That’s right…less than a mile from the current library location! There are directional signs to help guide you into the church parking lot for drop off of donations.
Starting October 19, please deposit your new or gently used books, CDs, and DVDs in their new donation bin. They request that you do not leave books or large donations outside of the bin. If you have a large donation (3 or more boxes/bags) please call the GM Friends at 703-720-9019 to arrange a drop-off time.
The GM Friends are planning to hold periodic Book Sales during the library renovation, with the first Book Sale is planned for April 2027 (date to be announced later).
