• NOW: Outdoor activities at Fairfax schools, parks canceled due to wildfire smoke (ffxnow.com) — Wildfire smoke has pushed air quality to hazardous levels today, with sensors showing extremely high AQI in West Springfield and visibility on I-95 in Springfield sharply reduced. Fairfax County Public Schools and the Park Authority have canceled all outdoor activities, pools, and many camps, and residents are urged to stay indoors and limit exertion due to serious short- and long-term health risks.
