• Countertop Clash: Suffolk family at impasse with contractor over work not done (wavy.com) — A Suffolk family says a Virginia Beach countertop company took nearly $8,000 to replace a cracked granite counter in their new home but repeatedly missed installation dates and allegedly made threatening remarks when they complained. After seeking a restraining order, the couple now insists any fix be done only by an independent, licensed contractor under a neutral mediator, while the business offers to proceed with installation under its terms.
