Bey Lounge Could Get Live Entertainment Permit Revoked
The business had three noise ordinance convictions since the town renewed the permit in 2018.

VIENNA, VA — After several noise complaints resulting in convictions, Bey Lounge could lose its live entertainment permit. The Town of Vienna's Board of Zoning Appeals will consider revoking the conditional use permit for live entertainment for Bey Lounge on Wednesday, July 17.
The town's zoning administrator Francis Simeck filed the application to revoke the live entertainment permit. The Board of Zoning Appeals reapproved the permit last in May 2018. Conditions included minimizing live entertainment sound, responding to complaints by reducing noise, and providing staff in the parking lot at closing to minimize sound from people leaving. Bey Lounge was also asked to close at midnight on Sundays through Thursdays and 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
Since the permit was reapproved, "there has been considerable concern from neighbors and citizens in regard to the noise associated," states the application to revoke the permit. The Vienna Police Department issued several noise violations, and three incidents resulted in convictions. The dates and times of these three offenses were: Sunday, Nov. 18, 2018 at 12:15 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 29, 2018 at 1:20 a.m. and Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019 at 12:30 a.m.
