Catalytic Converter Thefts, Police Station Opening: Vienna Police News
Vienna Police responded to various incidents in the last week and will hold a ribbon cutting for the new police station Friday.

VIENNA, VA — Vienna Police responded to various incidents over the last week, from catalytic converter thefts to a man pointing a metal object at students. This week also marks the opening of the new Vienna Police Station.
The most notable police incident this week happened at Cunningham Park Elementary School Tuesday. Police were called to the school due to a man pointing an object at students. It was determined the suspect pointed a metal object at students, but a gun was not involved.
After the suspect fled, police later found him bathing in the water fountain at the Vienna Town Green. William Holland, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with drunk in public and brandishing within 1000 feet of a school. He was also trespassed from all Fairfax County Public Schools. A fingerprint determined he had an indecent exposure warrant under the name Mike Astor in Alexandria.

The other big news for Vienna Police this week is the opening of the police station at 215 Center Street S. The ribbon cutting and remarks from local officials will be held at 11 a.m. Friday followed by tours for the public. The new facility will allow the police department to move all operations into one location, as detectives have been in the Town Hall basement, property and evidence have been in Mill Street storage lockers, and the bike team has been in the Bowman House basement.
Vienna Police continue to use the temporary location at the former Faith Baptist Church building at 301 Center Street S. As new furniture is delivered to the police station in mid-September, the police department will begin moving to the new police station.
