WASHINGTON, DC — Heading into the third weekend of October, there's a mix of spooky Halloween events and fall-themed happenings around Northern Virginia and DC.

We've rounded up local events happening Friday, Oct. 15 through Sunday, Oct. 17. This weekend includes haunted attractions like Shocktober, Workhouse Haunt: The Collection and Fields of Fear at Cox Farms. Other events are Centreville Day, Haymarket Day, Capital Art and Craft Festivals, Stafford Fair, Taste of Ethiopia, Falls Church Home & Garden Tour and more.

When heading out this weekend, be aware of mask policies. DC is requiring anyone 2 and older to wear a mask in indoor public places. Virginia is recommending but not requiring masks in indoor public places.
