Wade recently launched the second leg of his tour in his native Texas, and plans to hit 19 cities in 21 days. Luke has sold out some of his favorite spots in his home state and new hotspots around the country.
He may not have won the trophy, but soul singer Wade won the respect and praise of his celebrity mentors and fans on “The Voice,” and says he is enjoying being on the road with his full band, No Civilians, and getting back to bringing his high-energy style of music to his fans across the country.

Wade grew up in the small town of Dublin in Texas, where he was the youngest of four children. He survived a childhood bout with spinal meningitis that proved nearly fatal, a paintball accident that left him blind in one eye and some years later a severe heatstroke that left him with amnesia and took him to the edge once again.
Luke recently joined the world famous Patti LaBelle at the “Dream Marches On” concert at Alabama State University Dunn-Oliver Acadome in Montgomery, Ala., on March 7. LaBelle and Wade were there to commemorate and honor the 50th Anniversary of the Selma to Montgomery March.
Wade will perform live Tuesday at Jammin’ Java, 227 Maple Ave. E, in Vienna. For information call (703) 255-1566. Tickets are $15-$25 and are available at http://jamminjava.com/search/?q=luke+wade.
Wade released the second single from his album, “The River” on April 6 titled “As Long as She Knows.” Wade says his music explores the space between folk and soul, and he plans to play his original music from both of his full-length albums, “Tomorrow’s Ghosts” and “The River” as well as unreleased music on the second leg of his tour.
